Foodlink - The link between unsold farmers produce and Seattle’s food banks.
Foodlink - In the Heart of Pike Place Market

Our Purpose

Foodlink was founded to link sources of fresh produce with local food banks. Foodlink, associated with Pike Place Market Foundation, has been operating every summer for over 14 years.  In our 2007 season, nearly 50,000 lbs of food was donated to local food banks providing thousands of Seattle residents with fresh, local fruits and vegetables.

How to be Part of the Fun

Foodlink is an all-volunteer organization. We're looking for people who can commit to volunteering at least one day per week from 3-5pm Monday-Friday, June-September. You pick the day of the week that works best for you - we're flexible.

Spend an afternoon once a week enjoying the lively atmosphere of Seattle's Pike Place Market. Meet vendors and farmers and play a part in the Puget Sound region's rapidly expanding network of producers and suppliers of locally grown foods! You have the opportunity to be a part of the market's diverse energetic community, take in the view, nibble on produce AND be a link between locally grown foods & area food banks.

Be a part of something bigger - volunteer for Foodlink! Contact us to find out how at foodlinkseattle@gmail.com or Molly Harmon at 206.323.2035.

How it Works

You and another volunteer walk the market, going from stand-to-stand, collecting unsold produce from the farmers and vendors. Nothing fancy, just a simple process of providing a link between growers and Puget Sound area food banks.
